NCSSM Food Drive

Last night at about 11 o'clock, NCSSM beat the world record of about 509,138 lbs of non perishable food at one location in 24 hours with 559,000 lbs. This food will go out to the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina, so it will be given to people of need right in Durham and the surrounding area. Sue Anne Lewis, an SLI at NCSSM, led the dash for the record, and has been working all this and last year on the project. ABC news channel 11 reported on the event, as well as a few news papers and radio stations. First Hunt had many volunteers show up, and we were proud to join the cause. Now we can say, Yes we Can, and Yes we Did!
