Cross Country Team Starts Strong

The Men's Cross Country Team has had a strong showing so far this year. NCSSM dominated the first two meets, placing 9 of the top 12 and 7 of the top 9 runners in the Northwood and Cedar Ridge meets, respectively. This Saturday at the Durham Academy Invitational the Unicorn Men had a very strong race, placing third out of eight teams, behind only 3A perennial powerhouse Chapel Hill High School and defending Independent School State Champion Durham Academy. NCSSM placed ahead of four 4A schools and had 6 runners who had better times than our school's fastest runner at this point in the season last year. It looks like the Cross Country team is off to a promising year. Congratulations to Eli, Justin, Elliot, and Caleb, all of whom had season-best times at Saturday's meet. Keep up the good work!
