A Week of Hall Activities!

It has been an exciting first week back from spring break! From the hall programs to Welcome Day, there has been lots to do around campus.

Wednesday night hall members gathered to participate in the game from childhood, Telephone. It was fun to see how close we were to the original phrase and how far we got sometimes.
Friday night, First Hunt had glow in the dark Frisbee with 1C2C1D! It was a great time and was fun for all those who participated. The Frisbee was then followed up by s'mores with Third Beall and 1C2C1D. It was a great time to socialize and catch up with others!

Nearing May, First Hunt looks forward to many more exciting programs and the last month at NCSSM for the seniors.

NCSSM Prom

Prom at NCSSM has come and gone, and I can speak for all First Hunters when I say it was an awesome night! The Museum of Life and Science hosted a variety of exhibits and experiences for everyone to play with while attending. For a period of time, the butterfly house was also open! It was a great night for all and will undoubtedly be remembered by all.

Intramural Volleyball Win!

First Hunt has won the Intramural Volleyball Championship!  It took a lot of teamwork, dedication, and patience from everyone, but we pulled thorough in the end. First Hunt won the third and final game at 25 to 23, so it was a close battle until the end.
With Intramural Basketball coming up soon, we can only hope for the same luck!

Hall Activities of the Week!

It has been another great week here at NCSSM with many exciting programs!
Tuesday and Wednesday First Hunt continued with their winning streak in intramural volleyball. It won't be long before we find ourselves in the finals!
Friday, PI Day, was celebrated by baking pies in Hunt Kitchen. With the option of a cherry or apple pie, everyone left feeling full.
Saturday night was the First Hunt manliest man competition. After extensive evaluation and competition, it was determined that Parker Ellwanger was First Hunt's manliest man!

Starting off the Third Trimester!

For many residents on First Hunt this will be the last trimester at NCSSM, and so far, it has started off great!

Monday, First Hunt residents gathered to tell stories from their various miniterms. With people going to multiple countries, hiking the Appalachian Trail and exploring the state, there were many interesting stories.
Tuesday and Wednesday there were intramural volleyball games.  Everyone played a great game and we came out as victor of both games!
Saturday, members of First Hunt watched the UNC vs. Duke game and cheered on for their favorite team.

It has been a great week for all and hopefully next week will be just as good!

A Busy Miniterm!

This week has certainly been a busy one! Between First Hunters traveling to foreign countries, studying biology, chemistry, and computer science, everyone has been thoroughly busy. This week, however, has not been short of great programs!

Monday, First Hunt took a break from all the Miniterm work and went to CiCi's pizza. It was a great treat and enjoyed by everyone!

Tuesday was spent practicing for the upcoming volleyball intramural season. With some practice in, hopefully First Hunt can reach the volleyball finals!

Lastly, Wednesday night was spent bowling! All who came had a great time!

Sports Update

Congratulations to the many athletes on First Hunt!  Just recently, the NCSSM swim team won their second state championship.  First Hunt swimmers Gabe Shepherd, Jack Allen, and Matt Weaver broke school records during the championship, so special congratulations to them too!  Hopefully there is another state championship in store next year!
