Programs From the Week!

This week, with the craziness of I-Week, First Hunt had many great programs.  Monday we had an ice cream party provided by Karl Widney for his birthday.  The ice cream was great and gave everyone a bit of time to relax and take their mind off of homework.  After a few small programs on Tuesday and Wednesday, First Hunt finally went to the IM soccer finals!  We sadly lost in the second half at 0-1, but we put up a great fight!  Friday night there was a movie night at midnight, Star Trek: Into Darkness.  After the rain delayed it, First Hunt, along with three other halls, had campus-wide capture the flag.  The game ended in a draw after two 45 minute games; hopefully next time somebody will be able to pull out on top!  Hopefully everyone has had a great week and looking forward to extended weekend, this weekend.  Enjoy your week!

Activities!

As all parents knew, this past weekend was Family Day!  Hopefully everyone had a great time with their family and learned about out great campus.  That evening, after all of the parent left, First Hunt had a pancake and movie night.  Everyone watched Now You See Me while eating great pancakes cooked by the RLAs!  Lastly, First Hunt had an IM soccer game today.  Thankfully we won, which means that we will be going to the semi-finals tomorrow!  Wish everyone luck!

College Eve

Tomorrow is College Eve!  This is a time for everyone in the NCSSM community to learn a little more about the colleges that they might attend.  For seniors, it is a chance to get in good questions before you finish up your applications.  For juniors, it is a great way to learn about all the different colleges out there and the programs they offer.  College Eve will run from 3:30 until 6:30 tomorrow.  Any family members are more then encouraged to come out and learn about college possibilities as well.  All colleges attending are listed below.

Gaga and Hall Food

After a long day of learning, work, and studying, First Hunt took a break last night to go play Gaga.  As always, everybody thoroughly enjoyed themselves!
Everyone on First Hunt would also like to thank Dhru Patel and his family for providing hall food tonight.  Dominos Pizza hit the spot for everyone and was a great snack before getting back to work for the night.  Thank you for the food Patel family!

Paint Fight!

Today First Hunt had a great paint fight with 3rd Bryan and Reynolds 1E 2E 2D.  Everyone met at 1:00 and then the paint throwing commenced.  Fun was had by all who came!  Now the hard part is going to be getting all of that paint off!

Lots of Stuff!

For this week, our Explorer of the Week is Kevin Parham!  If you want to learn a little more about Kevin feel free to read over his picture.

First hunt would also like to thank those who have brought hall food recently: Parker Ellwanger's family for feeding the hall two weeks ago with McAlister's Deli nachos with their various topping, Jack Allen's family for providing us with Jimmy Johns before the break, and lastly Steven Tulevech and his family for providing the delicious cookies and milk this week!  Thanks to all for bringing hall food!

Lastly, congratulations is due for First Hunt and their amazing win over First Hill in IM soccer today!  It was a great game at 4-0, and afterwards everybody went to go grab a great dinner at the PFM.
