FEATS OF MANLINESS

As you all very well know, First Hunt dominates the competition with an attitude and panache that impresses even the staunchest of opposers. So, this Friday night, First Hunt decided to have a competition within the hall to determine the manliest of the manly. This competition, as you could guess, was ever so intense-- with everything from pushups, to hot sauce, to Mario Bros. In the end was a three way tie between Otis Skipper, Daniel Milam, and Grady Nash; being the competitive hall that we are, we had to settle this tie with a competition of vertical pushups. It was very close, but Daniel Milam took the title this year. Go Daniel!

Breast Cancer Awareness

This October, students from NCSSM, along with Mrs. Dula Brown and her mother-- a survivor of Breast Cancer-- walked around Durham wearing pink and holding banners to support Breast Cancer awareness. Many First Hunters participated, and we had a blast talking to fellow supporters along the walk, and encouraging drivers to honk in support; but at the same time recognized the foremost objective we were trying to achieve. Thanks to Mrs. Dula Brown and her mother for all of the courage and support!

On Thin Ice With the Sister Hall

On Saturday, First Hunt took a trip with the sister hall to a nearby ice skating rink, with a trip to Cookout before hand to top it all off. Rest assured, we all had our fair share of falls, but we had a great time nonetheless.

Secret Snowman!

On Thursday night, First Hunt met as a hall to celebrate the annual Secret Snowman tradition. Basically, one draws a name of a hallmate, to then get a relatively cheap present for that person, to then get a present from another hallmate. We had a blast opening presents and talking in the lounge, and continued the tradition with First Hunt style and spirit!

Hall Food

Thanks to Ryan Sutton and his family for hall food on Thrusday. We had pizza from a local joint-- Devil's Pizza-- and it was awesome.
