RLAs for 2012-2013

Hey everyone,

My name is Seth Templeton and I will have the pleasure of being next year’s First Hunt, Housekeeping, RLA. My home town is Wadesboro, North Carolina, and I currently live in room 116 on 1stH main but I am excited to be moving to Annex 131 next year. As housekeeping RLA I will not only be able to enjoy getting to know the incoming juniors really well and helping them here at NCSSM, but I also have the responsibility of making sure the hall maintains its' legacy of cleanliness and that we have fun connections with our sister hall. I enjoy playing guitar, I play almost every sport but don't claim any of them as "my sport," video games, shows and movies, board and card games, getting to know people and hanging out with friends. I'm so psyched for next year and am looking forward to making next year as good if not better than this year.

See you at SMath!
Seth Templeton

Hey everyone,

I am Burton Burrows and I am going to be one of your programming RLA’s next year. My hometown is Warsaw, but I recently moved to Cape Carteret. I will be living in the Annex in room 132. I will serve as one of the DramaBoard members and am one of the Head Techs for the Theater Department next year. I also participated in the NCSSM Swim team and I enjoy cycling competitively. I am really excited to meet and work with everyone next year and I look forward to building close bonds with guys on hall.

Can’t wait for next year,
Burton Burrows

Hey guys!

My name is Harris Short and, along with Burton Burrows, I am one of the programmer RLA's. I love participating in MAFIA and Freestyle Football Club as well as helping out 1st Hunt in intramural sports. I will be living on Main this upcoming year in room 114. I can't wait to get this upcoming school year started because it's about to be a good one!
See you all next year!
Harris Short

Hey everybody!

My name is Kyle Riker and I going to be the Assistant next year on 1st Hunt. My home town is Greensboro, North Carolina. I lived in Hunt 107 this past year but next year I will be living in room 109 on Main. I am a member of the swim team, and I participate in clubs such as Habitat for Humanity and the Red Cross club. I also really enjoy doing intramural sports with the hall and I play trumpet in the school's wind ensemble. I'm looking forward to having a great hall environment next year, one where everyone feels at home. I can't wait to meet everyone on hall next year and I know it will be a great year!

See you guys soon!
Kyle Riker

Moving out

This extended is a great opportunity to begin moving your son out to make June 2nd that much easier! We've reminded all of the guys to take home big things (monitors, speakers, bicycles, printers), anything to expedite the process in a few weeks. Enjoy the last extended!

Hall Food

We'd like to give a big shout-out to Logan Herrera and his family for providing AWESOME taco bell this week! Many thanks for everyone's continued contributions to the hall. We need the sustenance as exams draw near!

A huge shout-out goes to Jackson Mower and his family for making awesome goodie-bags for the hall to get us through AP exams! We really appreciate the love and support!

Check-out Information (cont.)

And the second part!

Check Out Information

Hello Parents-

Welcome to Graduation Day!  Move-out day promises to be a bit hectic.  I have already met with the students and they are aware of the check out guidelines and expectations.  In order to insure that the process goes smoothly, I wanted to share the expectations with you.

___     ALL personal items removed from the room and the hallway.  Everything should be in the car.

___     All the original furniture should be back in the room, arranged in a reasonable fashion.

___     Every thing removed from the walls and door.

___     Furniture dusted, drawers wiped out, blinds and window sills dusted.

___     Floor swept and mopped.

___     Housekeeping assignment completed well.

___     Windows closed and locked and blinds closed down.

___     All trash taken out to dumpsters.

___     Sign your room condition report

___     Turn in your Key and access pass key

___     Laundry card (seniors only)

If your student is the first of the roommate pair to leave, they need to make sure that their roommate is present at the time of check out.  This is so that any damage can be assessed fairly and accurately. As you can see, the day must run on a tight schedule.

THANKS FOR A GREAT YEAR AND HAVE A WONDERFUL SUMMER!!
